Wear Resistant PET strap

Product Description

Hello, I am the engineer who makes this strap, and I will keep it simple even if you are buying strapping for the first time. This is our wear-resistant PET packaging strap for building materials: 19 mm wide and 1.0 mm thick, with a rated breaking strength of 7,600 N. In everyday terms, it will not snap until you hang about 775 kg of pull on it — close to a tonne. The one idea that matters here is "wear-resistant". Building materials — rough stone, sawn timber, bricks, concrete — have sharp, abrasive surfaces that rub and cut a normal strap. This grade is made to resist that rubbing, so it holds your heavy, rough cargo without wearing through. It is safe, rust-free and works by hand or machine.

1910 wear-resistant 19mm PET packaging strap for building material heavy bundling

This is the roll. A thick 19 mm × 1.0 mm band built to shrug off the rough, abrasive surfaces of building materials.

Key Features
  • Wear-Resistant: the surface resists rubbing and cutting from rough cargo like stone, timber and concrete.
  • 7,600 N Strength: about 775 kg of pull before it snaps — built for heavy building materials.
  • Holds Rough Loads: the wide 19 mm face spreads the force so the strap is not cut at a sharp edge.
  • Absorbs Impact: it stretches a little instead of snapping when the load shifts.
  • Won't Rust or Stain: ideal for white-surface goods — no rust marks, unlike steel banding.
  • Safe to Handle: no sharp edges, so no cuts to your hands.
  • Hand or Machine: fits manual tools as well as semi-automatic and heavy-duty automatic machines.
Why Choose This Wear-Resistant PET Strap

If you are not sure whether this is the right strap, here is the simple rule I give every new buyer. Choose this grade when your goods are heavy and rough — sawn timber, stone slabs, bricks, precast concrete, structural steel and machinery crates. The abrasive surface is exactly what wears a normal strap out, and the wear-resistant construction handles it. If your goods are light cartons, save money and choose our 12–16 mm straps; for the very heaviest steel coils, step up to our wider grades. Still not sure? Send me a photo of your load and I will tell you honestly which one fits.

PET packaging strap produced on our own manufacturing line

Every roll is made on our own line from new PET. Running one recipe at volume is how I keep the strength the same on every roll you receive.

Will It Work on Rough Surfaces?

Yes — that is the whole point of this grade. Rough stone, sawn timber and brick present abrasive edges that gradually rub through an ordinary strap. The wear-resistant construction resists that abrasion, so you do not have to double-brace yourself against strap breakage on rough cargo. For the very sharpest edges on very heavy loads, I still recommend a simple edge protector as good practice — but this grade carries far more rough-surface punishment than a standard strap.

PET Strap vs Steel Strap

If you are switching from old steel banding for the first time, here is the simple comparison:

Point This PET strap (1910) Old steel banding
Rust Never rusts, will not stain goods Rusts and can mark white surfaces
Safety No sharp edges, safe for bare hands Sharp edges, easy to cut yourself
Weight Around 60% lighter than steel of equal strength Heavy and awkward
Impact Stretches to absorb knocks, does not snap Can kink and lose tension
Wear on rough cargo Wear-resistant surface resists abrasion Rusts and can mark goods
PET strap tensile strength testing and quality inspection

Before a batch ships, I pull a sample and test it to confirm the 7,600 N strength and the weld — so what you order is what you get.

Quality Control

Even a tough strap has to be a reliable one, so every batch passes the same checks before it ships:

  • Tensile testing: a sample from each batch is pulled to confirm the 7,600 N strength and the 11%–14% stretch.
  • Dimension inspection: width, thickness and coil length are measured to hold the 19 mm / 1.0 mm / 800 m size.
  • Surface inspection: every coil is checked for an even finish with no rough or worn edges.
  • Weld strength check: the sealed joint is tested to confirm it holds at full strength.
Applications

This 1910 is built for the building-material and heavy-goods industries: sawn timber and lumber packs, stone slabs and A-frames, brick factories, precast concrete, structural steel bundles, glass, aluminium ingots and general heavy pallet packing. It also suits machinery crates and export A-frame racks where a strap failure would be a safety event, not an inconvenience.

PET strapping manufacturer qualification and certification documents

Our company certificates and test reports are open for you to check — you do not have to take our word for quality.

PET strap manufacturer patents and technology certificates

Our technical records. The engineering work behind a consistent wear-resistant, 7,600 N rating — not just a number on a box.

Certified Quality and Manufacturer

Everything above is backed by a real, auditable company. We are Xiangyang Suhai Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd., founded in February 2011 in Hubei, China, and recognised as a National High-Tech Enterprise (Certificate No. GR202442006492, issued 26 December 2024, valid for three years). We were also selected for Hubei Province's 7th batch of Specialised, Refined, Differentiated and Innovative SMEs. Our manufacturing is certified under quality, environmental and occupational health & safety management systems, and our products are supported by SGS test reports. Certificate copies and test reports are available on request for your file.

Customization, Supply & Packaging

As the factory, we make this strap easy to buy your way. You can customise the colour (green or black), the roll length and weight, and add a printed logo. A 5 ton minimum keeps the price fair, and our complete lines give a stable output of 3,000 tons per month so repeat orders stay on schedule. Each roll is wrapped in plastic protective film and stacked on standard wooden pallets for container or full-truck transport, with delivery in about 5–8 working days. A sample test before a big order is always welcome.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Q: What is this strap best for? Heavy, rough building materials — sawn timber, stone slabs, bricks, precast concrete and structural steel — that would wear out an ordinary strap.
  • Q: Will it handle rough stone surfaces? Yes. The wear-resistant surface is specifically designed to resist the abrasion of rough cargo.
  • Q: Is 7,600 N strong enough for me? It is about 775 kg of pull before it snaps — built for heavy building materials and large pallets.
  • Q: Can I use it by hand or with a machine? Both work. It fits manual tools as well as semi-automatic and heavy-duty automatic machines.
  • Q: Is it eco-friendly? It is made from PET polyester, which is recyclable, and it never rusts — a friendlier choice than old steel banding.
