Pallet Bundling Packing Patti Roll

Product Description

Hello, I am the engineer who makes this belt, and I will explain it in plain language even if this is your first time buying strapping. This is our factory-direct PET packing belt, model 1610: 16 mm wide, 1.0 mm thick, rated at 6,400 N. In everyday terms, it will not snap until you hang about 650 kg of pull on it — more than half a tonne. The one thing that makes this belt special is that it is a "dual-use" strap: the same roll works with a manual hand tool and with an automatic machine. So whether you strap a few pallets a day by hand or run a full automated line, one product covers both — and because you buy it factory-direct, it costs noticeably less than steel banding and never rusts.

1610 dual-use 16mm PET packing belt for manual and machine strapping

This is the roll. One 16 mm × 1.0 mm belt, rated at 6,400 N, that works whether you strap by hand or by machine.

The Basics

If you are new to this, here is all you really need to know. PET packing belt is a modern replacement for old steel banding. It is a strong plastic strap that holds your goods together on a pallet. This 1610 is a medium-heavy grade — strong enough for bricks, glass, aluminium ingots, timber, stone and warehouse pallets, yet light and safe enough for one person to handle. It will not rust, it will not mark your goods, and it has no sharp edges to cut your hands. That is why so many factories have switched from steel to PET belt.

Key Features
  • Dual-Use Design: the same belt runs on a manual hand tool and on an automatic strapping machine.
  • 6,400 N Strength: about 650 kg of pull before it snaps — enough for medium-heavy pallet loads.
  • Stable Quality: consistent physical properties, roll after roll, so your line runs predictably.
  • Won't Rust or Stain: ideal for glass, tiles and white-surface goods — no rust marks, unlike steel.
  • Cost-Effective: noticeably cheaper than steel strap of the same strength, and much lighter to ship.
  • Safe to Handle: no sharp edges, so no cuts to the hands during strapping.
PET packing belt produced on our own manufacturing line

Every roll is made on our own line from new PET. That is how I keep the strength the same on every coil you receive.

Hand Tool or Machine — Both Work

This is the question new buyers ask me most, so let me be clear: you do not need to choose. The 1610 is made to suit both. If you strap pallets by hand with a tensioner, it feeds and seals smoothly by hand. If you run a semi-automatic or automatic machine, the same roll feeds and seals cleanly in the machine. Same product, one reorder number, less confusion in your store room.

Is It Right For Me?

Here is the simple rule I give every new buyer. Choose this 1610 when your goods are medium to medium-heavy and you want one belt that works by hand and by machine — bricks, glass, aluminium ingots, timber, stone and warehouse pallets. If your goods are light cartons, save money and choose our 12–13 mm belts; for the very heaviest steel or stone, step up to our 19–25 mm grades. Still unsure? Send me a photo of your load and I will point you to the right one, honestly.

PET packing belt tensile strength testing and quality inspection

Before a batch ships, I pull a sample and test it to confirm the 6,400 N strength and the weld — so what you order is what you get.

Quality Control

Even a simple product has to be a reliable one, so every batch passes the same checks before it ships:

  • Tensile testing: a sample from each batch is pulled to confirm the 6,400 N strength and the 11%–14% stretch.
  • Dimension inspection: width, thickness and coil length are measured to hold the 16 mm / 1.0 mm / 960 m size.
  • Surface inspection: every coil is checked for an even finish with no rough edges.
  • Weld strength check: the sealed joint is tested to confirm it holds at full strength.
PET Belt vs Steel Banding

If you are switching from old steel banding for the first time, here is the simple comparison:

Point This PET belt (1610) Old steel banding
Rust Never rusts, will not stain goods Rusts and can mark white surfaces
Safety No sharp edges, safe for bare hands Sharp edges, easy to cut yourself
Weight Much lighter to handle and to ship Heavy and awkward
Cost Cheaper than steel of the same strength Costs more per unit strength
Hand or machine Both work with one product Often needs separate tools
Applications

This 1610 is used across brick factories, textile factories, aluminium-ingot packing, glass, timber, stone yards and general heavy-pallet bundling in warehouses. It also suits export pallet consolidation where the load is medium-heavy and you want one belt that works by hand on-site and by machine on the line.

Customization, Supply & Packaging

As the factory, we make this belt easy to buy your way. You can customise the colour (green or black), the roll length and weight, and add a printed logo. A 5 ton minimum keeps the price fair, and our complete lines give a stable output of 3,000 tons per month so repeat orders stay on schedule. Each roll is wrapped in plastic protective film and stacked on standard wooden pallets for container or full-truck transport, with delivery in about 5–8 working days. A sample test before a big order is always welcome, and we are happy to offer packing-solution advice.
