I am the engineer who specifies this grade, and the 1510 is the reinforced medium-heavy belt — the direct upgrade from our standard 1509, built for buyers who need more tensile force and better load stability without stepping to a full 19 mm heavy strap. It is a 15 mm × 1.0 mm PET strapping belt rated at 6,000 N with 9%–13% elongation, supplied at about 1,018 m per coil. The design intent is reinforcement rather than resizing: a thicker, reinforced band body in the same 15 mm footprint, so the load capacity and anti-loosening performance rise while the strap keeps enough flexibility to run through the same semi-automatic and manual tools. For heavier finished products, medium pallets, brick and building-material bundles, it is the grade between standard medium and full heavy.
The 1510 coil. A thickened, reinforced 15 mm × 1.0 mm section rated at 6,000 N — the enhanced upgrade from the standard 1509.
Grade PositioningHere is where the 1510 sits against the standard medium and heavy grades, so the choice is explicit:
| Tier | Model | Width / thickness | Break strength | Load segment |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard medium | 1509 | 15 mm / 0.9 mm | 5,400 N | Regular medium loads, brick, cartons |
| Reinforced medium-heavy | 1510 (this product) | 15 mm / 1.0 mm | 6,000 N | Heavier finished goods, medium pallets, bulk bundles |
| Standard heavy | 1910 | 19 mm / 1.0 mm | 7,600 N | Dense and heavy cargo |
If the standard 1509 leaves you short on the heavier loads but a 19 mm heavy strap is more spec and cost than the job needs, the 1510 is the targeted upgrade.
Key CharacteristicsWhy reinforce the section rather than widen the strap: moving from standard medium to heavy usually means stepping to a 19 mm band, which changes the tooling, the pallet fit and the per-metre cost. The 1510 takes the standard 15 mm footprint and lifts the thickness from 0.9 mm to 1.0 mm with a reinforced band body. That raises the load capacity and pressure resistance where the job needs it — heavier finished goods, medium pallets, bulk and building-material bundles — while keeping elongation in the 9%–13% window so the strap still absorbs impact instead of going brittle. The result is a grade that upgrades performance without forcing a retool, which is why I position it as the reinforced middle above the 1509.
Anti-Loosening, Explained"Anti-loosening" is not a slogan on this grade, so let me explain what actually happens. When a strap sits under load, it slowly stretches — engineers call this creep — and if creep is high, the band slackens over time and the pack works loose. Standard medium straps loosen faster because their thinner section has less material resisting that slow stretch. The 1510 fights it two ways. First, the thicker reinforced body carries more load per unit of width, so each metre works further from its yield point and creeps less. Second, our integral forming process gives the band a uniform orientation along its length, so there is no soft spot that relaxes first. The practical result is simple: a brick pack or a medium pallet that left the dock tight is still tight when it reaches the customer — the tension you set is the tension that arrives. It is the same property I read off the tensile rig, and it is why the 1510 holds better than the 1509 across a long, stacked journey.
On our production floor. The reinforced 1.0 mm section runs on the same lines as our standard grades, so width and tensile stay inside specification.

Buyers often ask why 1.0 mm matters when the 1509 is 0.9 mm — on paper the gap looks small. In a PET strap, thickness is where load capacity and anti-loosening behaviour actually live. The extra 0.1 mm of wall lifts the break strength from 5,400 N to 6,000 N, roughly an 11% gain, all without changing the strap's width, the tooling or the pallet fit. It is also the dimension we hold tightest in production: the band is drawn to a nominal 1.0 mm and checked with a calibrated calliper at several points along the coil, because a strap that quietly arrives thinner than nominal would quietly lose strength. In one line — 1.0 mm is the point where this 15 mm strap gains real medium-heavy capacity and still bends cleanly around a tight pack; push much thicker and the band starts to fight the radius. That balance is the whole reason this grade exists.
CompatibilitySpecified for heavier industrial finished products, medium pallets, building-material bundles and bulk cargo — the reinforced medium-heavy group that a standard medium strap handles only marginally. In building materials it is the grade for brick stacks and block packs where the load is heavier than a standard medium band should carry comfortably.
A Brick-Plant CasePicture a typical brick and block plant I work with. Brick packs are strapped on the palletising line, trucked out to the yard, then loaded into containers for export. The plant had been running a standard medium strap and kept finding packs slack on arrival — not a dramatic snap, but a slow loosening that let the top courses shift in transit, which is the expensive kind of failure. We moved them onto the 1510 without touching the tools or the pallet layout. With the reinforced section holding its tension, the packs arrived as tight as they left, the shifting stopped, and the line stayed on the same 15 mm tooling — no retool, no re-training. That is the case for this grade in a sentence: it is the upgrade you make when a standard medium strap is almost enough and "almost" is costing you claims.
Production and quality team. Extrusion, drawing, inspection and packing are in-house — the reason spec and supply stay consistent order to order.
Quality ControlI have listed the checks; here is how they actually run, so the numbers are not just a claims sheet. Tensile: we cut a sample from each batch, clamp it in the tensile rig and pull it to failure, reading both the peak load and the elongation at break — the strap has to break above 6,000 N and within the 9%–13% window, or the batch is held. Dimension: a calibrated calliper checks width and thickness at several points along the coil, and the length is metered as the band winds, so a 15 mm / 1.0 mm / 1,018 m coil is verified rather than assumed. Edge and surface: every coil goes past inspection for a clean, burr-free edge and an even finish. Weld: we form a heat-seal joint on a sample and load it until it fails to confirm the seal holds at full strength — because on a heavy pallet the seal, not the band, is usually the first thing to give. A batch ships only when all four pass, and the batch record stays with us for traceability.
